Everything you might be wondering

When does Foundation open?
We open on Tuesday 2 March 2027. Founding memberships are available now, so you can sign up before the doors open.
I'm over 60 and haven't exercised in years. Is this for me?
Very much so. Every new member starts with an induction, and classes like Foundation Mobility, Foundation Balance & Core and Foundations of Strength are built for people starting out or coming back. You go at your own pace. If you have a health condition, check with your GP or physio before you start.
How much does membership cost?
Founding memberships start from $17.95 a week with no joining fee. Once the founding places are gone, memberships are $19.95 a week for gym access, $22.95 for gym and classes, and $29.95 for Premium, each with a 12-month term and a $49 joining fee. There are also no lock-in, prepaid, class pack and visitor options. All prices include GST.
What is a founding membership?
A limited number of memberships sold before we open, in three stages: Stage 1 at $17.95 a week, Stage 2 at $18.95 and Stage 3 at $19.95. When one stage sells out, the next one opens. Each is a 12-month term with no joining fee, includes 24/7 gym access and unlimited classes, and your rate stays for as long as you stay a member. Founding members who sign up online also get a free gift bag.
Are classes included in membership?
Unlimited classes are included with founding memberships, Gym and classes, and Premium memberships. The Gym access membership doesn't include classes, but you can add a class pack or pay for a single class.
What is the Premium membership?
Our premium membership, for people who want more structure and support. On top of 24/7 access and unlimited classes, you get a goal-setting consultation, a personalised training program reviewed every four weeks, monthly check-ins, quarterly fitness reviews, nutrition and wellness education, and preferential DEXA scan pricing. It's $29.95 a week, or $25.95 for founding members.
What is a DEXA scan, and do I need one?
A DEXA scan measures your bone density, muscle mass and body fat percentage, which gives you a clear starting point and a way to track progress. You don't need one to join. We'll tell you about it when you sign up. Scans are done by a radiology provider, and your GP can tell you whether one suits you.
Is it really open 24/7?
Yes. From opening day, members will be able to train any hour, every day, with secure member access. Early mornings and late evenings are usually the quietest times. Staffed hours will be confirmed before opening.
When are the classes on?
The timetable is coming soon. We're starting with five classes: Foundation Mobility, Foundations of Strength, Stronger for Life, Foundation Balance & Core and Foundation Active. Classes and times may change as we learn what suits members.
I'm visiting the area. Can I use the gym?
Yes. Casual gym entry is $15 and a casual class is $18. If you're staying a while, visitor passes give you unlimited visits for 7 days ($40), 14 days ($65) or 30 days ($99). Visitor passes are for people visiting the area, not local residents.
Is there personal training?
Yes. One-on-one personal training will be available for anyone who wants extra support, priced separately from membership. Get in touch and we'll talk you through it.
How do I get in after hours?
With the member app on your phone or a swipe tag. Once you've joined and done your induction, your access works any hour of the day or night, every day of the year.
Can I book classes online?
Yes. You'll be able to book your induction, classes and personal training online, and manage your bookings and membership in the member app.
What equipment will the gym have?
Commercial Life Fitness and Hammer Strength gear: treadmills, bikes, a crosstrainer and stair climber, a full line of guided strength machines, cable stations, half racks, a Smith machine and benches, plus a full set of Australian Barbell Co. dumbbells and barbells. There's also a separate 11 x 8 m studio for classes.
Can I join online?
Online sign-up is on its way, and founding members who sign up online get a free gift bag. In the meantime, leave your details on the membership page and we'll be in touch to get you signed up.
Do I need to be fit to join?
No. A gym is where you get fitter, not somewhere you need to be fit to walk into. Start light, go at your own pace and build from there.
